Join us for a fun, hands-on mini-workshop, designed for all levels of calligraphers and lettering artists… especially suited for beginners. Make simple, monoline letters come to life by filling in shapes with watercolors! INSTRUCTOR: Beth Mitchell – Beth is a graphic designer and calligrapher who loves to share what she has learned about calligraphy and related arts. She is also a founding member of the Memphis Calligraphy Guild, established in 1987.
SUPPLY LIST*:
• black pen – Micron or Sharpie
• watercolors – liquid, tube, or pan
• palette for mixing
• medium, round brush
• pencil• eraser
• small water container
• metal, cork-backed ruler
• low tack tape
OPTIONAL:
• masking fluid
• ruling pen
• masking fluid pen
• opaque white pen or marker
*Workshop fee includes: watercolor paper, mat for framing, and handouts.
