Pointed Pen Calligraphy Classes for Beginners
Memphis Calligraphy Guild will host Reggie Ezell in 2017!!
No Fear Watercolor by Linda Hancock
Date: Sat. and Sun., October 17th & 18th, 2015
Watercolor has always been thought to be a tricky, unforgiving medium and many artists shy away from using it in favor of more "manageable" choices. Nonsense! In this workshop, we'll get a handle on the way watercolor works, playing with its properties and embracing its eccentricities. Part of the joy of working with watercolor is its penchant for creating surprising effects, perfect for lettering artists to exploit. On the first day, we'll work with the basics, producing small pages that will be the support for our exploration of added lettering on the second day. Come with an open mind and good supplies, and we'll enjoy discovering what this medium can share with us!
